I went to see the boys today and thought you would all like an update on their progress!!
The good news is they are both doing really well and look like different ponies!! It is fabulous news as it is only just over 2 months since they were rescued - obviously there is still a way to go. They are both incredibly perky in themselves and the two of them shoved me round their paddock and stuffed - no make that inhaled!!
- a packet of polos in record time!!
They are both on a fibre fibre and more fibre diet and have turn out when the weather is good so they get grass.
Carrot - obviously he was the poorest of the pair but has put on weight and is still gaining - his ribs now have a covering so is moving in the right direction!
Has seen the dentist and has little in the way of teeth but it isn't stopping him from eating!!
Is the boss of the pair and demands his food at regular intervals! Slow progress but the weight is going on. Is snuggled up in his jamas to keep him warm - and he ate most of the polos!!
Spud - looks fantastic and like a different pony!
Is almost up to weight and you definately can't feel his ribs anymore!!
The dentist had to remove some of his teeth but it isn't stopping him from eating either!! Again he is wrapped up in jamas to keep him warm. Was so busy eating polos he nearly ate the wrapper!!
Gave both of them a big fuss and hugs as well a bag of Mollichaff Veteran as a treat. Both are making fantastic progress and are getting all the TLC they need.
