Mine like them, but thats not saying much, mine will eat anything. No idea on sugar, they only get them occasionally when they are reduced at the supermarket.
I have no idea but as carrots are about 80% water, their high sugar content is only in 20% of the carrot anyway. So overall its not as high as people think!
mine prefer carrots but will eat parsnips ( but then they will eat anything to be honest) but back to the question............................ I think there is more starch in parsnips than carrots so a little more like eating a potato in terms of feeling full!
I only offer a random parsnip occasionally
Cooked parsnips have 4.8g of sugar / 100g, and boiled carrots have 3.45g, so pretty much the same when cooked and I therefore assume not much different when raw!

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. I used to tell people this and was always told I am talking crap.
My daughters old pony used to eat Bakers complete dog food given half a chance and also very partial to prawn crackers. mind you her new one eats prawn crackers as well.
