Carrots!

As Gem was eating her brekkie this morning I noticed that she eats all her hard feed, pushes the carrots to the side and THEN eats the carrots!! My other horse always gobbled the carrotts up first!

Just for a bit of fun, I wondered how many other horses saved their carrots till last?!!

My TB does the same - she throws them to the far side of her feed bowl, then eats them for dessert.

It looks like most horses like carrots for starters and its only going to be our 'different' friends who prefer a crunchy desert!

Tyler just wolfs everything down. If it isn't nailed down, it gets eaten!!

However I have noticed that the carrots disappear quicker than the rest

errrr.... vote twice!!!? This is all new to me! just wanted a bit of fun, its a tad boring at work today!!

(hence why id rather talk about carrots!!)

Hovis physically throws them to one side then eats them afterwards.

mine eats them as they come... will munch on one or two first if they are at the top.... if he cant get to any he will eat his way down to them

Carrots first, hard feed second. However, when bread's on the menu (Real hard, at least 3-days-old bread or rolls), the it's bread first, carrots secondand hard feed last!!
