This has made me laugh as when I saw the pics I thought he has a v similar underlying build/shape to my boy, and everyone tells me I am mean when I say he is a bit ugly and a bit common. Thing is, he does the job so well for me, so hope yours does too!

I think he will mature into a very good looking horse - he's only four and got quite a bit of frame to grow into - bet by the time he or 8 he's stunning! Good luck with him.
 
i only think he looks gangly and out of proportion- not ugly! once he's muscled up and in proper work i think he'll be very striking looking! my 4 year old looked HORRENDOUS when he arrived - the people on my yard were actually laughing thinking i'd bought a connemara x donkey from straight out of the bog. they aren't laughing so much now

Our mare has just scanned in foal with a full baby bro/sister for Spider, there will be a HHO family!

, but he does has a lot of bone for something that's almost all TB. He's already following me round the field like a big soppy dog, though no doubt that'll change when he's allowed to go in with some proper friends
 
I dont know if it will, Spider is the softest one on the yard, always has been!! And if yours keeps on growing like him.....I bought him 6'9 rugs in May and have had a call saying we need 7'0!!!! I'm refusing i dont want a horse in 7'0 rugs!
 
He was 16.3hh last time we measured but htat was April time i'd say he's probably 17hh now (and still looks quite compact!!!!) He's very deep proper show hunter really!
