Hi,
My 17yo mare has hock spavin, she has probably had it for over 2 years, she had a steriod injection a year ago which seemed to help for a while maybe. Got xrays again last week but no results yet. Just wondering which treatment to try this time? Vet keeps mentioning tildren but does that mean that the arthritis is at an advanced stage i.e is got through all the cartiledge and down to the bone? so the cartiledge protectors like Adequan and Cartrophen are not any use? She is 1 to 2/10 lame . I am still hacking out and on 1 bute she seems almost sound. Can I expect any of these treatments to make her 100% sound? and for how long?
Thanks for reading.
