Cartrophen - supply issue?

I usually buy a year’s supply at once, but this time I’m struggling to find anywhere that has this in stock, and nobody seems to be able to provide an expected supply date. The few places I’ve found with stock only have a supply with a use by date of January/February 2026.

I ran into the same problem last month. My vet said there have been patchy delays with certain batches and most practices are working off shorter dated stock. It sounds widespread rather than a retailer issue. I ended up getting a smaller amount to tide me over until the next shipment arrives. You might have better luck asking your vet directly since they often get updates before the online suppliers do.

Oh no!! I am out of cartrophen and just waiting for a new prescription from my vet. Horse needs it in about 2 weeks' time

I hope not! My boy isn’t due until February but he’s had the full course so we will only be needing one top up dose.
