Hi iv got a very wide youngster, I don't really want to get him a fitted saddle until I'm ready to get on him and get him going and than it's going to have to be adjustable. So would a cashel treeless pad be ok for him to get the feel off things and use to stirrups, girth etc? Iv got nothing that will fit at all as all my saddles are for high withered tb types not table top ponies but seen this cashel and wondered peoples views on it? Thanks

It would be one way to get the feel of a saddle - though the weight will be different. I would not use it for sitting on though and I would be VERY aware of the possibility of it slipping back and use it with a breastplate.

Thanks ruth, it's just really to get the feel off the girth etc so when the saddle fitter comes out it's easier to fit and not all new to him. Def would not get on him with it no way. :)
