Hiya, have now had horsey 8 weeksish (and it don't seem a day too long ;) :D )
I know I have done quite a lot of these posts :o but I just want to make sure I am continuing to do the right stuff. :)

So. From the beginning. ;) Apologies for various awful and massive photos. He is an 8yo TB ex racer.

First day he arrived:

About 10 days after he arrived (very skinny, stressing due to all the changes I think :( ):

Ten days after that...

Another two weeks or so.. (going through that scruffy moulting period...):

And finally :o today. I think his coat is looking nice, it's very shiny at the moment. Managed to get him at some very unflattering angles though, his head looks tiny. :o

So how is he looking? I'm quite proud of how he's done so far, I have spent a lot of time thinking about his diet and exercise (and bothering people on here for advice ;) ) to build up fat and muscle without fizz, and it seems to be working (i hope)? Saddler coming out next week as his new topline means saddle not fitting as well any more. RI is pleased too, always a bonus. :) He is proving to be a huge pleasure, he improves pretty much every day and is really rewarding to ride- just got to get these GCSEs out the way and we will be heading out to competitions :)

Thanks :) we'll be out showing in no time, lol (as long as numpty here finally works out what she and horse have to wear :p )

WOW!!! He looks so much better, shiney healthy coat, and you can see the weight has gone on in all the right ways.

I too am constantly stressing about my Cobs weight, sometimes for no reason!

But i can see the improvement in the few weeks you've had him, did you worm when he arrived?

MistralS_shining: no i didn't when he first arrived :o (he is up to date with rest of yard now though) His worming had been kept in really good order by old owner though, and he is now on same regime as the others.

thanks everyone :)

Yes, he has now been wormed. :) Just wasn't at the very beginning, which I know he should have been. :(

Nah, he'd been with a lovely lady who'd basically reschooled him and taught him to jump properly (done all the hard work ;) )
