The mane stayed down! And I shouldn't have worried about which jacket to wear, as it was so hot we rode without. I also forgot my gloves (which the judge mentioned on my sheet, but let me get away with!)
So - First time in an indoor, first time seeing mirrors and dressage boards, first time ridden at a competition.
We got there a bit early and wandered round to see if we needed a number or anything, and the lovely people all admired Casp, when I said it was his first time out they offered to let me lead him around the indoor and up to the mirrors for a look. Which we did, and apart from whiffling to his reflection when he noticed it, then having to keep stopping to admire himself, he was fine
So - I DID remember the whole test. This shouldn't be a surprise, as it was only an Intro, but the last 2 times I did an Intro, I had a brainfart and forgot the way :/ Those, however, were on a different more sparky horse. Casp is so chilled that I didn't have to worry about him at all, which helps!
And he got Second! Which I thought was pretty good for a hairy cob who's not into schooling (or anything much that requires effort!)
Video here, please don't feel you have to watch the whole thing, I'm sure it's very boring to everyone else! (Sorry, no idea how to get the actual video on here...)
