We need urgently to get our colt cut but the quote we had was 5 times what he is worth , how much is it and are out vets just very expensive wanting £270 ?
I paid around £200 for a standing castration, that also included tetanus anti-serum and the first of his vaccinations. My vets are on the more expensive side.
The actual castration part was £90, all the rest was drugs and consumables!
No, thats not particularly expensive. Im sure you will find some a bit cheaper but in general, you get what you payfor. The value of your colt is irrelevant - you knew when you bought/bred him that castration would cost more than hes worth (I doubt you thought it would be £50!).
