Castration has not stopped him

I had my Springer castrated 4 years ago as I have 3 bitches. he still serves them every day when they are in season. I thought this would stop, has anyone else had this happen?
I know they will not get in pup but it was very embarassing today when the postman had to walk around them whilst they were tied.
By the way they all seem very happy with the arrangement.

It prob won't do any harm, but even when castrated indeedy dogs will hump a nice punginty smelling bitch, it in general does not cause harm, it can as KT suggested cause UTI's in the the bitches and it's gross to look at (yack) but it commonly happens.
 
Oh yes it is the girls who start it, but at their yearly check up and vacs the vet says they are all very fit and not overwieght. The boy specially, he is still very much a baby though, and if it hadnt been a bit pervy I would have taken a photo of one time when he had a teddy in his mouth whilst performing.
 
I always have bitches because I just prefer girl dogs. I never used to get them spayed because they had infrequent seasons and kept themselves tidy. Then I lost one bitch to pyometra. A couple of years later - knowing the early signs, we realised another bitch was not quite right. She went to the vets and had a massive dose of anti-bios which dealt with the infection but we were told to bring her back in 30 days to be spayed. Which we did. Now, I have my bitches spayed unless I think I might want a litter from them. Why not have these bitches spayed because it is a lot better to protect them against this horrible infection. Then the dog will leave them alone.
 
separate them. nuturing only removes the equipment it doesn't remove the piturity gland or the hypothalamus, which also have a huge part to play in reproduction.
 
Am I going mad or would this be likely to bring on a phantom?
Which would worry me, as BR says, regarding a pyo,
Feel free to correct me....

My male is neutered and will occasionally still go through the motions but I don't let him away with it, he gets an ear bashing (verbal, of course!)
