For how long after castration can the wound drip?

Blitz was done last Monday, and has been fine since, but today there has been an increase in the amount of dripping... still just a slight amount, but enough to make a mess of his back legs.

He has finished a five day course of IM antibiotics, and has been having an antiinflammatory powder in his morning feed ever day since (as per vet instructions)

Thanks... just being a bit of a paranoid mum at the moment!!!

My horse dripped for just over a week, very very occasional drips by then though. After about five days he had a mad hoon round the field and came in dripping loads-actually leaving small puddles on the floor. I gave it five minutes and it started to slow, fifteen minutes later and it was back to occasional drips. I think it may have been some collected fluid draining out, he probably opened up a bit after all the running around. No bad thing really, better than filling up.

If it's only a bit I wouldn't worry, but maybe just give your vet a ring and ask.

Thanks :) I'm waiting for my more knowledgable friend to take a look before I bother my vet on a holiday.

Like I said it's not running, but it's enough to worry me a little :o
