Cat C licence

Just wondering if anyone knew an approximate price of a cat c licence course?

Many thanks :)
I do :D

I will firstly assume this is for PRIVATE LGV driving OVER THE AGE OF 21 and not for COMMERCIAL so will not need the initial driver cpc

If it is for commercial or for driving under age 21 please let me know

MEDICAL using D4 form - cost about £50 - google LGV MEDICAL - can be done by ANY doctor
Provisional using D2 form - FREE - tick C & D nothing else
Theory learning material can be got for about £30 - sometimes much cheaper if you google and find a seller who has just passed and getting rid

Theory test modules
1a multi choice theory cost £35
1b HPT cost £15
Fail either and only retake failed one

Module 3 is the practical test which has a fee of £115 but that is usually included in the practical training costs
A basic 5 day course incl test and VAT will be between £800 to £1100
That course will either be done 1 to 1 over 5 half days or 2 to 1 over 5 full days with test on day 5
NEVER try doing 1 to 1 all day over 3 days - it fries the brain by lunchtime!!

NEVER NEVER NEVER pay any money until you have met with the trainer and seen the vehicles

Any retests are likely to be in the region of £300 and will include a warm up drive and the test fee

Oooh thankyou very much! Gonba have to save up some pennies and do it!

Can you recommend anyone in Burnley or the surrounding areas? :)

ROG, what constitutes professional? If you take own horses to a show/event & win some money etc is that ok? Is it just if you are a professional horse transporter? What if u take a friends horse along for free/petrol money?

Sorry for annoying question :)

*commercial not professional
Commercial means making a profit or intending to make a profit

Your private LGV lorry with you driving and your friend in the passenger seat with only their horse in the back
Friend pays you all the fuel money used on that trip and perhaps a little for wear and tear = not commercial

Hopefully that friend would also buy you lunch as well but we wont mention that :D

Thanks :) am in your neck of the woods, could u maybe pm me some names of training centres near here that have good reputations? Pretty please? Would be for one silly blonde stress head who can drive perfectly well but managed to fail even the trailer test due to nerves & stupid negative thinking and OH........
