I have just been to my local vets and they had a notice on the counter asking if anyone would rehome a young black & white cat that had been run over and had his jaw wired up. I could not resist and so now I have to think of a name. He is black with a lot of white in blobs all over. Inspiration please.

How caring of you to take this poor little mite on

What about splash, shame you haven't got a pic of him

Hmmm...pie? as in...piebald...black and white (do they use the term piebald for cats?) ok i'm rubbish at names, one of our cats is called Ugly. It's so funny when we get letters from the vet -

"Can you please ensure Ugly is brought in in a secure carrier..."

Oh my you are all so smart at thinking up names. Splash is a great name and Jaws is so smart. I have had a Lucky before. I am going to think about them all and then try and fit one to his personality when he comes home. I will take some photos and get my hubby to help me post them! Thank you all so much.

Exactly what i was thinking!!!! lol would make a fab name i think, like them to be different. Hence why one of mine is called princess (she sits on the hay stack and lords it over the hay barn) and the other is hiss and spit (as thats all she does both are semi ferral)

Aw how lovely of you to take him on

My friend took on a rescue cat that had been runover and called him Splat the Cat! Maybe not the most sensitive of names but very funny, and it suits him!
