Know a cat that needs some but vet wants ANOTHER £100 to test again. Anyone got any they don't need?

(owner happy to pay!) Cat is in good health on them atm but vet exam really not needed. Realise it's a bit of a dodgy request but in this climate, I'm afraid I'll be handing any 'leftovers' I may have to a very good cause I know, if I have any. 2.5mg is current script. Please ask around for this sweet kitty.

Thankies

not only illegal, but darn stupid really. we have to test them because their levels can fluctate and their kidneys are also affected by ongoing felimazole tx - we dont just do it for the fun of it. actually we do care about the medicines we give not making the animal sicker!

My cat is on this and, I am sorry to say, we also do need to have regular blood tests done to make sure it's the right dose, etc., so I don't think you can get away without them.

Having said that, £100 for a blood test sounds extremely expenssive, so I would try another vet (ours cost about £30 a go) and when you get the prescription you can 'shop around' and get it filled in at the cheapest place (there are loads of online animal pharmacies that do good deals).

Thankies for that BooBoos - I really had no idea as it's not my kitty. However, I do know him and he's been 'taken in' by this person and jolly lucky to have anyone giving him food, let alone pills. Apologised for being illegal and stupid and asked Admin to delete the thread - but they won't because I didn't break any terms or conditions!

Now if I was very abusive and called you and star some horrid names... Not my style though
