This is about my mum's cat, who used to be my cat until she didn't get on with one of the others and went to live a life of luxury as an only pet. She has is around 8 years old - she was a rescue so we don't know for sure. She has been getting bald patches mainly on her legs which are quite distinct i.e. there is no part-haired bit between hairy and bald. They don't seem to be injury or over-grooming and they seem to come and go in different places. Recently she has also had a couple of episodes of what present as a urinary infection - visiting the litter tray repeatedly and doing small wees each time. She's been to the vets and had a urine sample analysed but they didn't find anything. The vets are convinced that it's stress and have advised Feliway and very little else. It seems very unlikely to be stress - the cat lived at mine with another cat that she didn't get on with so was probably quite stressed and didn't ever show these types of symptom. Now she is on her own, clearly very content, access to outdoors etc. I wondered if anyone on here has come across anything similar?
