A woman who was caught on CCTV dumping a cat in a wheelie bin has been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to the animal.

Mary Bale, 45, has also been charged with failing to provide the cat with a suitable environment, contrary to the 2006 Animal Welfare Act, an RSPCA spokesman said.

Bank worker Bale, of St Michael's Road, Coventry, will appear before magistrates in the city on October 19 to answer the charges.

Probably more waste of public money there then. It`ll be thrown out,and in any case she`s had a goodly dose of remorse due to the publicity in my opinion

All very well - but shouldn't the powers that be be concentrating on the little s***s that terrify the elderly and infirm in this country on a daily basis and get away with it scot free....

I wonder if it will be an nursery rhyme in a hundred years or so.... :-

ding dong bell pussy in the wheelie bin,
who put her in?
some silly bank clerk
who fetched her out?
some folks whom were pratting about
how did they know
All caught on a camera
Ding dong bell - whos sorry now !
