My horse has had a cataract in one eye for several yrs and has coped fine with it.
Recently his behaviour has changed. He's not grazing the whole field and has reared a few times in hand.
His riden work isn't really affected but he is even more spooky than before.
Vet came out yesterday and says new cataract in good eye and existing one really bad.
It's a progressive type.
Anyway surgery may be an option.
Has anyone had this done?
He's only 13 but has really deteriorated in the last week.
