Hi,

is this normal? never really looked at his eyes before but noticed the white ring around the outside in one and the blueish tinge to the pupil and it’s the same in the other (hoping normal if in both?). It’s the blue tinge which concerned me more as always thought pupils should be completely black and any milky bluey colour immediately makes me think cataracts

I’m no expert so some words of wisdom would be appreciated:)

He is 12 if this helps.

Having spent many hours staring into eyes for five months due to one of mine having uveitis, they look ok to me. My pony with the bad eye has a blueish good eye, she wears a mask and my vet told me I was seeing more of the back of the eye when her pupils were open. The bad eye has more of a cloudy appearance.

I am not a vet or an ophthalmologist in the interests of full disclosure! If they start to water, or you see one half closed then you have a problem ?
