I've recently bought an unhandled, absolutely stunning sec a but had to keep him in a massive field down the road from me until I could make space in my own yard.
I spent several hours on friday with a friend trying to catch the little monkey but with no success, during the process he actually managed to break through into another even bigger field!
Any ideas on how to catch him? I go down most days and spend time with him, introduced a signature bucket and hard feed to him and hay but he still wont let himself be caught or even touched.
I know its not the best option, but I did think a dose of ACP might do the trick so that at least i can catch him and get him home so i can start the handling process on him.. what do people think?
Thank you for any advice!!

I guess people don't rope wild horses in the UK...

Introduce a very calm, reliable horse for a day or two and see if his good influance rubs off? Worst case scenario, you may not need to touch him if the well-behaved horse walks onto a trailer and the pony follows....
