Does anyone know if its OK to go and spectate? We have a mare in foal and thinking this may be something we want to do next year so were thinking of going to watch tomorrow. Also does anyone know what time the foals are. Thanks.

Yes.definitely OK to come and watch -- in fact informing the audience of what is happening and how each animal forward is being evaluated is a vital part oft he process.

However, at Catherston, the foals start at 7.00 am (there are 62 horses making 74 entries in all, hence the early start. Each animal is estimated to take 6 mins ansd there are 20 foals so they would well be finished by about 7.00 am but given that people get held up in traffic and sometimes don't make the early times there could well still be stragglers coming through at about 9.30 or 10.00 am -- but either way it is quite an early start of you ar eonkly interested in foals.

Its good going as a spectator - I saw alot more and heard alot more about the horses on show when I went to spectate at HofE than when we took the filly to Arena UK. Enjoy your day!
