Catherston Night Safe & Botleigh Monte Cristo - INFO WANTED

Hi everybody!
i've been researching my mare's lines and turns out, these guys are in 'em! her daddy is botleigh monte cristo, and her grandad is catherston night safe. I was wondering if anybody had any information as to what these horses are like, and if anyone knows were I could find some pictures?

If you have facebook, search fro catherston stud and add as friend. There may be some info on there/Pictures.

They regularly post and answer questions too.

I have a gelding by a catherston stallion and it is a great site. I made a couple of friends from there who have horses by springsteen too and it is lovely to compare notes/swap stories :)
 
Catherston nightsafe was a top class pony stallion bred and owned by the Loriston Clarkes.His dam was Prosperity of Catherston a beautiful dun show pony[in the days when show ponies had bone and substance and were childrens'ponies LOL!] by their famous palomino stallion Bubbly and his sire I believe was was Triumph a small TB or mainly TB.
Catherston Nutsafe one of the current top eventing ponies and a European medallist is by Catherston Nightsafe-he threw some wonderfully talented ponies.
 
Night Safe sired Nut Safe - a crackign pony, graded Elite SPSS. Jennie is always happy to give more info on her ponies so definatly add Catherston Stud on FB.

Other ponies in Night Safe's pedigree include Bubbly & Potato - Potato was a fantastic sire, infact, of the 44 ponies entered in the Pony Europeans Dressage, he was in the pedigree of 22! Quite a legacy really.

This picture is of Nutsafe at the 2010 Pony Europeans, where she won team gold, as well as an SPSS Award of Merit, and the SPSS Award for the Highest Placed Mare.

thanks guys! i've found out thea has a halfbrother(i think) - fingerpost rififi - they both have the same dad (botleigh monte cristo). on their website it says that he was a champion! i've emailed but no reply. this is frustrating as i'd love to know more about her dad, but i'm really chuffed with all the info you lot have given me, means a lot :)xx

Triumph was actually a Part-bred Arab, as was Prosperity of Catherston. Triumph was from Shagya Arab lines on his dam's side, while Prosperity was out of a mare by the very famous pure-bred Arab sire Naseel, who produced so many beautiful and talented ponies.

Catherston Night Safe had easily enough Arab blood to be registered as a PBA himself - but, then as now, the Arab lines tended to be overlooked...

Hi ive emailed you. Botleigh Monte Cristo was bred by Laura Ellis-Jones at Botleigh stud. He stood at stud for 25 years with Rex Preston who bred riding ponies with the Fingerpost prefix.
 
If you go onto All breed pedigree you will be able to find quite a comprehansive ( albeit not 100% Accurate) list of both the above's Progeny. I had a Pony Stallion by Nightsafe, was a wonderful chap.
Also, Old NPS Journals will have more details in, il try find pics of both, and post them
