Just brought my pusscat back from vet visit as we think he's ate something that didn't agree with him. Spent all last nite up cuddly sicky cat!!

But last nite very poorly pusscat, but at lunchtime whilst in basket and at vets, bright eyed and bushy tailed!!!

So hopefully we've turned corner and only damage is to my purse - pusscat on right of siggie the grand weight of 5kg plus!!!

Vibes! cats eh!?

We have one that quite likes the little nets that go in the washing machine with the tablets in. He loves chewing the blue foam nobbly bit on it....

Vibes for no more ill effects for puss.

My 2 ate half a large chicken and pineapple pizza complete with much Tabasco sauce on saturday night. They even ate the pineapple...

Bloomin trouble makers. They have tougher tummies than you would think though.

me thinks Bruno found something dead in snow (he's a bit of a killer!!) - and though mmmmmmmm easy snack!!! D'oh!!!

EW! lol. I think Whiskas would be one to do that, he's rubbish at catching things so just runs off with whatever his brother has caught and got bored of throwing around.

My 2 tend to just play with whatever they kill though, leaving the dismembered bodies for us to clear up. So i suppose there's a good side to having to pick up bits of mice and birds.

Hope he has no lasting effects and has learned his lesson

...probably not knowing what cats are like...

Cats don't often eat dead things - they aren't carrion feeders. More likely he hunted and ate a rat, our big ginger used to to that and he would be definitely iffy for 24-36 hours. He'd sit around, wouldn't eat and was generally out of sorts. Like us when we have take away that isn't quite right

Vibes that puss is feeling better soon.

Aw fingers crossed for puddy!
Our kitten fell in the bath yesterday - fortunately I was in it and fished her out. She likes (liked?) walking round the side and batting the bubble bath. This time she slipped. Cue one enraged kitten being held aloft by me, with both me and OH howling with laughter...

thx all

he's been proper poorly, throwing up etc....

but vet has given him an injection to stop reflex action, so if he continues to throw up he needs to go back pdq to vets. But she could find nothing wrong with stomach or guts.......

So if not better will have to be a bit more invasive

and xrays.....

Does have a habit of liking toads or frogs???? sorry can't tell which is which, as NOT a fan, eps when they are deposited in lounge, as the buggers hop, to well!!! sorry uck!

It may be nothing though, our cat was really ill before xmas last year. Constantly being sick, went to vets and he was seriously dehydrated so he stayed in on a drip. Kept being sick, wasn't eating....nothing showed up at all, then 4 days later he was fine again. We never knew what had caused it.

((VIBES)) that he will be fine.

My cats are fine and healthy despite having eaten the following over the years:

Finger off a rubber glove - that came out the other end intact..

Several lengths of fishing pole elastic - all came out the other end..

A fishing fly (called a Cat's Whisker

) - hook got stuck in his tongue and had to be cut out by the vet..

2 x baby corn snakes.. they were a bit sicky for 24hrs but otherwise fine.. can't say the same for the snakes

Think yourself lucky. We got one elderly cat who was sicky from day one. He was a stray so he's a real scavenger but if he eats anything other than the vets prescription diet he is violently ill. It's like the exorcist.

We then decided to get a couple of kittens as well and it turns out they are just as delicate. They can also only eat veterinary diets or they throw up everywhere and have shocking diarrhea.

Hope puss is better soon.

Just for people to know: years ago a humungus great house spider appeared high up on the bit where the ceiling meets the wall. They terrify me. No-one else in to help and too difficult an angle to risk a preemptive strike with the newspaper. So I found a can of fly spray and emptied that on spider, with moggy sitting directly underneath hoping the juicy spider would fall into this mouth. 2 hours later, he started to limp and by the next morning he was almost totally paralysed. Vet said I'm lucky he survived. It was the flyspray that he had breathed in. And finally, watch out for antifreeze. Cats love the sweet taste but it will kill quickly. In this weather he might have found a puddle somewhere? Sad but true, some cat-hating neighbours have been known to deliberately put antifreeze down for cats.

Some one locally deliberately put down rat bait mixed with minced meat in an effort (they said) to kill some of the local fox population. Several local cats later....

Sadly we lost a beloved (well - they all are aren't they!) greedy boy to that one. RSPCA weren't impressed either!

If puss doesn't improve - and if you sew - you might suggest the vet to check the back / base of the tounge. (Is that spelled right? - looks wrong to me...) Cats sometimes lick up thread which they can't spit out becuase of the pappillae on the tounge. If they get to the needle on the end of it they then gag and the needle can stick in the back of the tounge. Had a rescue cat do that a while back and had unsolveable vomiting for days before the vet figured that out.

Don't you just love 'em!

thx everybody for their best wishes

When i got home turned electric blanklet on and within 10mins all 3 cat firmly entrenched on bed. He was still under weather as my avator pusscat, his sister was very keen to play, but he just wanted a cuddle from her!! Stayed there all nite and only occasion whizzing... but keeping food down.

Pusscat now eating normal food just not with same gusto tho........... so hope and pray out of woods, left him on bed tucked in mohair jumper snoozing.......

Ooooo to be a cat
