Have you ever been on a Cattle drive or working ranch holiday in America? Any suggestions as to the best place to go to get the true experiance. I'v been looking on the internet and there are some amazing landscapes where ever you look. Its so hard to choose.
Thanks

My OH and I went to the Lonesome Spur ranch in Montana around 10 years ago with Ranch America. It was a private home and they had 2 log cabins and a teepee for guests at the time, so there was just the 2 of us and 2 girls from London staying when we went.

It was amazing, the ranch was 30,000 acres and every morning the dogs used to go out to round up the horses into the corrall - we rode out every day and went to other ranches in the area to help with the cows (branding etc). The family we stayed with were lovely and also took us white water rafting and to the Wild West Museum in Cody, Wyoming, taught us how to lassoo and made us eat "Rocky Mountain Oysters"! We even went with them to buy a new bull from the bullman! Even though we went at the end of May, we couldn't get to Yellowstone Park because the road was blocked by 20 feet of snow!
Really great fun, but it was expensive when we went, so don't know how much it would cost now.

Thanks for that i will have a look on net. Sounds wonderful, a true experiance. There are just so many to choose from!
