Hmmmm - yes regretably it is my mother who breeds/shows/judges so I have been around CKCS for about 30 years now
I must say that although they are not my cup of tea, they are lovely dogs to have around - incredibly easy to look after, train, etc. They make fantastic family pets, they like their exercise but do not require loads of it, they need regular (daily) grooming to keep their coats in good order....
Oh and ALWAYS buy one from a reputable (which does NOT necessarily mean a Kennel Club accredited) breeder
Not a dog I would choose, but purely because I prefer larger dogs, but I have known many as my aunt used to have them. They are possibly the sweetest natured breed of all. Lovely characters, incredibly gentle and wonderful with children.
Lovely, lovely little dogs, can be a bit yappy and can be a touch clingy but they're lovely family pets, never aggressive, love exercise but don't need masses (I used to take cass out for rides with me when she was younger), very loyal, cuddly, they are just your best friend
As splotchy suggests they are the perfect small breed to have around, they are placid and gentle as the day is long, easy little dogs and easy to train, we get a few in our rescue, usually show dogs that did not make the grade, I have a few pics in photo bucket I will see if I can search through.
Def chose a reputable breeder and make sure they are from HEALTH TESTED parents if u are going to buy one.
My family had Cavaliers for something like 25 years until my parents got too aged to cope, and didn't replace the last one.
They are a lovely breed, very soft and gentle, undemanding and wonderful companions.
