Cavallo boots rubbing a little help

I got some cavallo boots that seem to fit well I only rode in them 3 times longest ride 40 mins first 2 30 mins ish but have slightly rubbed they do seen a tad clumpy do I try a different boot or carry on breaking in the cavallos

You can get pastern wraps or a few people on here use a pair of thick socks

How do socks work ? Do they not slip

I was looking at getting some of these and on the websites it recommends using them for 20 mins at first, to break them in, it sounds like you are doing too much in them to start off with to me. They also recommend using leather softener or riding through water to break them in. I've also seen people recommending socks under boots.
