I've been toying with the idea of investing in either a prolite relief pad or a cavallo english enhanced performance pad. I don't really want to discuss the reasons why but I'm a para with a wonky seat. Saddle fits horse perfectly without me but add me to the equation and its a different story. The seat saver has helped me in the sense I can't feel the hardness of the saddle pressing against one seat bone any more. But my saddler wants just a little bit more as a security to keep the saddle being pressured down on one side. Plus with our training she is building muscle too.

I'd like to know if anyone uses them what their thoughts are.

Plus do you use them above or below a regular quilted dressage square?

I use a very basic prolite pad on my horse. She changes shape throughout the year and I find the pad helps with saddle fit for her. Its very soft so I imagine it is comfortable on her back rather than just a saddle pad. I use mine on top of a thinish pad in winter when she is at her most narrow and because it keeps the pad clean. I have never used the pad just on its own but I think I will do in summer when horses back needs a little more protection than just a cloth but not too much that it gets bulky under tha saddle and makes her hot and bothered :)
