We are waiting to hear about Willie still (not even sure he's gone in yet but we've dropped him off) but Regan is done by now isn't she? How is she doing?

I hate hate hate not having him here with us. I filled up the bird feeders this morning and he usually "helps" me so I missed him then and Bella beagle won't eat and is walking around extremely slowly with her tail tucked between her legs. She was fine until I fed her and Dakota and Willie wasn't there. That's when she realised that he was gone somewhere as he just went off with my OH this morning to get dropped off while we were still in bed so I think she thought he'd gone off on a walk or something.

Fingers crossed they both went/go okay. I'm off out with the beagles shortly to distract myself.

Lol, G, nope regan was knocked out at 9am this am, to me it looks like willies was knocked out at 1.27am LMAO:D
I know what u mean though, leaving her at work felt horrid, like I was leaving my right arm, as obs straight off shift we both go home for a sleep, even seeing her bed at home with no regie on it was horrid :(
It will feel even odder driving into work without her, Willie will be home now, is he? how is he doing?
I wont see regan till 6pm now, just another hour, 1st time I have actively wanted to go into work:D except the last op she had, my colleagues rang so say when she was awake and she has had some i.d diet, she will thinks its Xmas again.

Sounds like Regan is doing well which is great. It's funny much they are part of our routine and how we miss them when they aren't. I got a call from his surgeon that the surgery went very well (no tearing in the meniscus which the vet had originally suspected as lame as he was), post op x-ray looked great and he was just waking up. We can't pick him up until tomorrow morning though. They allow visits but it would likely just upset him and as it is only one night we won't do that to him. OH said he shook all the way to the vets (about 45 mins) poor thing. I can't wait to see the big lug.

I guess now the real fun will begin ...

Regan id feeling rather sorry for herself, I did let her out and put some vet bed in the corridor/heated tiles, so she could be with bubba whilst I was working but she took herself back into her kennel  (she must be feeling sore) bless her :(, she has eaten though.
No menisci damage here either, they have exactly the same injury :D

Ahh, I wish I could see Willie - it must be nice to be able to be with her tonight. I imagine he has his head down and is fast asleep though. Kind of like Bella beagle who finally, at 4pm this evening, accepted a couple of treats and then went on to eat her dinner later on. Poor thing must have been half starved although she could stand to lose a few pounds so it won't have hurt her. She also point blank refused to walk earlier, shaking and slinking along the ground with her tail between her legs, finally sitting down in the middle of the entrance to the woods where we go pretty often. After several attempts to move her along I just took them home rather than forcing her to walk like that.

I'll have to charge my camera battery so that they can compare scars ... Which leg was it that she had done this time? Willie's was the left.

How is Willie G? regan is very sore, luckily she does not bother her stitches and is calm so can be trusted to chill on her bed, I have had to top her pain relief up with tramadol :(

Poor Regan. Willie definitely feels her pain. He's doing pretty well though - he was angry at the vet's this morning apparently so I think they were pleased to see the back of him. He was pleased to be coming home, and quite stoic about it all:

Here's how he has been for most of the day:

He's also allowed in with us for the company as long as he wears a collar and lead and one of us sits next to him in case the beagles cause a ruckus and he gets tempted to run around with them. He will be gated in a a small room when we can't watch him and where he will often go off to sleep on his own to get away from the beagles so we know he won't feel like he's been locked away there as a punishment. It worked well before so we think a combination of both will work well this time too. He'll wear the inflatable collar when he is in there but I don't remember him really needing it last time. He's been out cold all day though and snoring very very loudly (he only has tramadol for the pain as he had a bad reaction to anti-inflams last time). I think they must have dosed him well this morning ...

I have a close-up pic of the incision too but I should probably put it up behind a spoiler as it's a bit gruesome being so new and all and I can't imagine everyone randomly clicking on this thread will want to see it. I'll figure out how to do that and put it up ...

Aww bless him with his collar on :(:D shouldnt laugh, poor fella, regan is sleeping I will get a pic of her matching willie chicken leg and scar in a sec, it's impressive :D

Heh - yes but don't laugh to his face, you can see what a proud dog he is :D. The vet called it a chicken leg too. It really does describe it quite well.

Okay, close up scar pic, suitably hidden from the nervous:

Hahahahaha, I love the spolier, soz im a bit tipsy :D:D:D bless him, they need to recoup together, bring him to me :D or I will bring me rotti there.
He has staples.

Right give me a tick I will upload some regan chicken leg :D

Now no laughing, my vet is a perfectionist and the stitches will be like that of clothing:D:D

:D Byker grove stood me in good stead for meeting you...I can understand what you are saying from all those early years of training!
For example, if you ever say ' GEOFF ME EYES' I shall know, 100% that you have just been blinded by a paintball gun! :p :D

P.s Glad both Regan and Willie are home and doing well! XXX

Very nice scar and no spoiler necessary for work like that. It is quite befitting a lady like Regan. Willie is going to use his scar to pick up chicks at the dog park ... the lady dogs like scars on their "men" around here :D.

Strange how they are on different sides of the leg ... does she also have a small scar lower down her leg? Willie does ... with two staples ... no idea why. She looks very sorry for herself though ... poor thing needs another hug from her mam ...

anyone good on a set of decks? I wana mix byker grove theme tune, cheryl cole and ant and dec as a special tribute to Cayla?!!! :p :D

LMAO re the ladies and the scaring, suppose they will demand a man who can prove his superior pain threshold :D:D
That is regans only op site, the vet is a total perfectionist in every way, she is a superior vet, Im so grateful she did her, and all at the humungus cost of "£32 :D

CC feck knows re the "H" Im not a true Geordie as im from Durham like Little miss Lauren, but the grove is not far from me, or my heart.....LMFAO:D:D
