Hi everyone,
My OH and I have come across a small, scruffy black dog wandering lost outside the yard tonight. She has no tag on her collar, we have been to the vet and she isn't chipped, terribly thin and in awful condition. She's not on dogslost. We will obviously be in touch with the police/warden in the morning, but for now she is in our house.
I'd be extremely surprised if someone comes forward to claim this poor little girl, and as long as she is reasonably good around the cat she will be staying with us.
She's massively traumatised, and I want to get her crate trained etc and avoid possible issues but we're a bit in over our heads - we were expecting several months of planning before the puppy came along.
I know Cayla isn't on here terribly often, but I think we're in desperate need of her training guides, if anyone is in contact with her and wouldn't mind asking her to PM me I would be massively grateful.
Any other information, pointers or suggestions also gratefully received. The vets have given us a basic feeding guide to stop us overloading her system too quickly. Pics to follow once she's had a bath! Not the GSD puppy we were looking for, but a very cute girlie
