sorry to send this round the week before Xmas but as you can see some wont see Xmas at all this pound kills - the rescuers lost some last month because they couldnt get them out quick enough please offer on a dog

Lucy is in emergency boarding but if someone can help her it will free up a space for a poundie, Lucy is between 7 and 9 years old, she had lived with an elderly lady all her life, she loves being on the settee, she is a very bright girl, she is fabulous off the lead and good with both people and dogs when out and about. Lucy is not good in the house with other dogs as she gets of food and the settee. Lucy will be fully vaccd by Monday, she has been speyed and has had 4 teeth removed by the vet. Please can anyone help her??

Penny is a staffie type bitch approx 3 years old. She is a very loving girl who is fabulous with people but seems to prefer male to female dogs. Penny has had pups in the past and we would really like a rescue to help her so she can't have anymore. Penny is way overdue, I don't know how much longer she will be safe PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

He is microchipped and is a very friendly boy who is good with other dogs. Rico is also neutured and first vaccinated and now in emergency boarding but again if you can help him we can help a poundie. Rico is VERY food orientated so will be easy to train, he has the cutest little nose I have ever seen maybe like a boxer or mastiff type, VERY HANDSOME

Trixie is a happy little staffie x female pup who typically wants to be the centre of attention. She is approx 10-12 months old, she has a slender build, she is fabulous both with people and other dogs. Trixie is very cute, her aim in life is to get as much play and as many cuddles as possible. We have been very fortunate and have found a foster space so we can start her vaccs and get her speyed for any rescue willing to give her a chance. PLease

Scully is a male SBT who is approx 3 years old, he has come in a sorry state with sores on his back end and back legs. Despite this he is a typical wriggly, giddy staffy who seems to be good with other dogs and knows some basic commands. This brave little soldier is overdue and needs out NOW

Mak is a 7 year old, tri coloured beagle male. He is a really lovely boy who is microchipped. Maks owner is aware of his whereabouts and he does have a first reserve but we would appreciate a second just in case. Mak needs to leave on 19.12

Romeo is a male staffi who has been neutured, he is a shy boy who needs his confidence building. He is a friendly boy with staff members. Romeo has arrived with a tummy ache but has been vet checked, wormed and is on medication. Romeo also looks like he is recovering from a flea/skin problem. Romeo will need somewhere to recouperate by 21.12

Poor Dino, finding himself in kennel at 15 years old Dino is a collie male, he came into kennels covered in fleas (he has now been frontlined), unfortunately he has a large ulcerated lump under his tail which has been neglected and means he will now need to be neutured. Dino is a placid chap who is good with other dogs, his owner is aware of his whereabouts and I think it is fair to say negotiations are not going too well Dino is on antibiotics but will defiantely require further treatment. PLEASE can anyone help relieve this poor boys discomfort by 20.12

Ben is a very tired and thin rotweiler (this photo does not depict this very well) Ben has needed to visit the vet for some cream for his eyes and medication, Benis microchipped and is 8 years old. Ben needs somewhere to rest his weary head by 23.12

he isnt interested in much at all at the moment. he is very tired. he has eaten a few biscuits by means of taken a bowl to his bed. ruby was around when he came in , didnt care, but we just want him to rest as much as possible at the moment

Harley is a very handsome male husky, he can be nervous initially but bonds with his carer quickly and is an absolutely cracking character. Harley is practically perfect, clean in his kennel, well behaved, knows lots of commands and is good with other dogs. Harley needs out NOW

Molly is a crossbreed female, approx 8 years old, she is very well behaved and knows basic commands. Molly is known to have lived with 2 other dogs, her owners are aware of her whereabouts but it is unlikely she will be claimed so please can someone offer Molly some sanctuary by 22.12 so we can ensure she will see christmas?

Mimsy is an american bulldog girlwho is approx 3 years old. Mimsy is quiet, calm and gentle in nature. She loves people, other dogs and snogging!! Mimsy has obviously been bred from in the past and we would like to find her someone who wants her for who she is, not what they can get from her. Please can anyone pamper Mimsy by 23.12

Geoff is a 2 year old parsons JRT, he is neutured and microchipped. He has a sore left leg with cuts and scratches but is receiving medication and is making a good recovery. If not able to be reunited, Geoff needs somewhere by 20.12



I know how stretched everyone is but if each rescue could find space for just one of these dogs, so many lives would be saved and to us that is priceless, what better gift to give at christmas but the GIFT OF LIFE xxxxx

Fook in ell....is there a clearer pic of that rotti anywhere?

On one of the rescue sites I go on there is a staffi pound section literally active 24/7 where they try to shift them round, move them out or on and there is simply not enough homes or people out there to offer homes for staffs, which means another kennel environment for them (which they don't do well in at all):( the dogs we get stuck with most are staffs and rotts and we test them all and they all go back out good in all situations so kennel/pound ones have no chance.
Im sure they did this last year aswell, it will probably save on staff fees over Xmas and empty the kennels ready for next years chuck out's.
I will waide through and see if i can think of anything.

Do u know specifically where the husky and akita are?....there are a few husky and akita rescues, maybe worth finding exactly where they are to pass on the info, as I doubt they will call anyone they will probably want to see where they are.?

I've already got the husky bods on it, I swear Ben is a husky rather than an akita (he looks like Ricoh minus the spots!), he's got someone showing interest as well. :)
 
Yep...that is no akita...it's def a husky.

I wonder if the oldies club have been contacted in regard to the older ones? i Will go over and have a look on the rescue site I use and see if these dogs are on there and see how they are getting on securing them.

So sad and so uneccesary:(
 
Update three minutes ago, he's been offered a rescue place. :) He had seen a vet and is receiving treatment for the eye infection. Anyone wanting to give him a permanent home can still call the mobile number or email.

Everything but the bullies are finding places it seems. :(

Hang on, sorry, I'm getting all of this 3rd or 4th hand. It's Harley and Ben the huskies that have been placed, with S.H.A.R.E, not Ben the rottie. He's in Birmingham somewhere - anybody interested, or knows of anywhere he can go, should call the number or email. I'm only an hour from Birmingham so I'd happily help with transport.
 
Is it possible to find out exactly where the rott is and the akita are?....so I can try rott and akita rescue and all the oldies, rather than contacting one lady...it usually tells you which pound they are in?
 
Its heartbreaking isnt it and some of the owners are aware their dog is in the pound and are not coming forward to claim their dog.

All those Staffies havnt a prayer poor things yet people are still breeding them.:(
