Not sure if it is the GA or just the whole experience was too traumatic for the poor little pea brained lurchey pantsy spivlet?!
Either way...HELP, shes doing my head in!

Is it possible that she has tensed her muscles all along her back while she felt her neck pain and that they are still tensed, after the G.A? If you want to try some acupressure, begin near the tail at first and gently feel along the vertebras in her back, where you feel that one ends and another begins you put your thumb on one side and your index finger on the other side, so that you have one finger on each side of the row of vertebras, and gently press downwards. Your fingers should be straight and not bend, hold the pressure a little while or until you feels a relaxation.

Maybe you should stay when you get halfway up her back, both to make sure that you don't fiddle with the area where the vets might have been fiddling (sorry, I do hope the word fiddle can be used without me meaning it as something negative) and also to see if there is any positive change in your hm, what was it you called her now

Hm Hrm the brave and brilliant unselfish saviour of Bernie's life luscious lurcher!

Hope it can be of some help until Cayla turns up, it is horrible when you can't comfort them.

What did she have done?
Some breeds take whole GA thing to the extreme, even when nowt has been done

Some can make the most horrendous chewbacker noises

, some can obs feel some pain, although they would have been given their fair quota of pain relief to last and some make noise and stress from the confusuion of coming round and the anaesthetic wearing off.

Thanks guys, I did eventually get her settled last night after the house went quiet, she finally decided that she could catch up on some sleep! She seems better this morning, still a little needy though.
SHe had bugger all done Cayla...xrays, thats my point, I would understand if she had some sugery or something and was likely to be in pain! WHIMP! LOL

When my lurcher had a GA to have her teeth cleaned she was really traumatised for a good 2 weeks afterwards. She drove me nuts, poor thing, very clingy and whiney. I wondered if as GA can cause depression in humans it might also effect dogs the same way? It certainly depressed me!
