LOL - it was indeed a joke of course but I am 100% certain that some of the people who ask me whether they are "mini greyhounds" or "dwarf greyhounds" (Yes it has happened!!), when I reply that they are actually Italian greyhounds, go away in the belief that 'Italian' is an adjective referring to the country of birth of THAT particular dog, rather than the breed
