so i took on a mare last year around this time on full loan. she came to me really grumpy and underwieght she was always pawing the ground and unhappy about any type of grooming around her tummy (im guessing many of you clever HHO's have guessed the problem). she had not wintered well and her owner is going to uni so they offered me her to buy but the price was too much at the time (oh how i wish i had bought her) so my friend begged me to atleast take her on full loan. At the time i had around 3 other offers of free horses but something drew me to this mare.

she has turned out to be the most amazing horse. she now hunts, jumps, hacks quietly with pritty much no spooking and i have managed to school her up to advanced medium dressage with tempi changes and fantastic lateral work after lots of physio, saddler, teeth and a high fiber diet to help her gastric ulcers (the problem i mentioned before).

so here are some before pics

Not sure why someone is standing on that poor horse's hind quarters, but I think it makes them look an idiot. Poor horse.

Nice horse, looks a lot better. If she has gastric ulcers try FibreGy ( V. high fibre) and Coligone, a supplement that imho works fantastically.
