hi all

as some of you may know, i've been having a few problems mounting recently... my horse wriggles around as if anticipating pain (years of badly fitting saddles i suspect... :( ). so, i've been practising my mounting/dismounting in an attempt to make it as comfy as possible. he still seems uncomfortable, perhaps i'm just too heavy?!? thoughts? be kind...:

Not seen the vid yet (having to upload the Flash thingy), but am guessing that you're mounting from the ground? Why not use a mounting block? I use one as much as possible on the grounds that a) I'm not fit enough to get up there (it's a long way lol), and b) it's better for her back/pelvis

Have a hug and a (skimmed :D) hot chocolate :)

Aw that poor poor horse - it's not even much more than a pony - how on earth do they expect it to carry that woman :( Makes me so sad - such a shame she fell off! ;)

Stupid flamin system now won't let me edit a post because the time allowed is five minutes! Five minutes?! Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

think you need to watch the vidoe first ;)

That woman much weight what? - 25st+, prob nearer 30st, as she looks fairly tall. Poor bloody horse. No, people shouldn't be making fun of her weight, and she was obviously upset at not being able to get on, but it shows no consideration for the horse at all. There is no WAY that pony, (or any horse for that matter) would find her weight comfortable to carry.

I think the motto of the story is - if you're too overweight to get on, you're too overweight to ride!!!!

There's another video of a similar thing (rider looks even heavier) and she/he (blurry and from a distance so it's hard to tell) did manage to get on - the poor horse managed to stagger a couple of steps before turning sideways and he/she thankfully fell off :o

What people will do to have a laugh, makes me wonder how we can call ourselves a nation of animal lovers!

Frankly I think it is horrible!
