Posted the same thing last night for my other mare... and just out of interest wondered what you lot thought of my old girl :D

She's now 26 and was retired earlier this year, these photos were all taken last year when she was 25 but are the most recent pictures i have of her whole bod! She was in light work at this stage.

15.3hh TB ex-racer.
Crib biter (since in racing).

A very good example of the breed, and could easily pass for something 1/2 her age or less! Pretty much perfect condition wise :)

The fact she has got to her age looking as good as she has, and still being ridden, says it all really.

I would be really hard pushed to find fault at all with her conformation, I absolutely love her neck and wouldn't have guessed she was a cribber. Her feet look bloody good as well :D Possibly if I was being really picky I would have liked a more muscular 2nd thigh, and her lumbar spine - is that an old injury?

A beautiful lady, I would be very proud to have a horse like that in my stable :)

Thanks rhino!
I'm not sure about the 2nd thigh, i don't know of an old injury to it but it wouldn't suprise me as she had raced, pointed and evented before i had her a the age of 17! She does have a few scars lower down on both hinds which look like they have been quite nasty injuries.

Funny you should say 'a beautiful lady', as she is called Lady :D and i am very proud to call her mine!

Fabulous condition , can't beat good old cornish sward and a bit of sun on our backs , I lost my old girl at the age of 22yrs ( TBx ) and whilst she wasn't in such tip top condition as yours , she was pretty good , even the guy who PTS thought he must surely have the wrong horse.!

Sorry that you lost your old girl, but still, 22 years is good going for a TB!
It's nice that you can remember her as looking so well, even in her last days :)
