CC on my 26yo TB please!

she is lovely. Can i ask why you are retiring her? I will be happy if my Tb looks like that at 26! And especially as she is a cribber you have done an excellent job x

I retired her as she had always been a horse who was very keen to work, but last winter starting slowing down a bit and didn't seem to enjoy going out as much... She also started getting a bit stiff in her forelegs. I thought it was kindest to retire her whilst she was still happy and healthy, and she is still very happy and healthy now, living a life of luxury! She still goes out for walks in-hand and gets regular fuss and attention to keep her occupied and to keep her legs moving to prevent further stiffness!

OP- I think you really ought to give yourself a huge pat on the back. Both your horses look absolutely tip top but wow! 26?! Amazing. I wouldn't believe you and would say you had the wrong passport but I doubt that very much as she is registered with Weatherbys and has raced. Can't beat an ex racer for traceability can you? She really looks absolutely spectacular.

O, and she is a lovely stamp of TB. A real advertisement for the breed

She looks great, my TB mare is 20, we just do hacking and I hope to be able to keep her going well into her twenties. She grows a coat like a mammoth in winter too.
