Okaaaayy thanks !

Lovely pony! She seems to enjoy her jumping. My suggestion is that you put your stirrups up a few holes. In a lot of the pictures you are toes down and reaching for your stirrups and that makes it harder for you to go with her and stay balanced as she jumps. I think once you get your lower leg position more secure (think heels down as you go over the jump) you will find it easier to stay with her movement. But you guys look like you are having great fun together!

But your stirrups up 2 holes at least, keep your heels down and put you hands forward. You are not pulling on her mouth but your reins are nearly always looped which suggests that your are riding with a fairly long rein.
Remember, (i found this helped me) when jumping think about folding at the waist, not leaning foward. :)

She looks like a nice little honest cob.
Have a good lesson tomorrow, and have fun pony clubbing :D

Thanks :)
She is extremely honest, if I tried to jump on a horse that only responded when asked properly , I would be on the floor most days :) Shes the one who gets us over :P You wouldnt believe she was only 5 when they were taken ( 6 now) and only broken a year :O xxx

Just remembered a little exercise I used to have to do at the start of a jumping lesson. Before I got on I would bend from the waist and touch my toes (loosen the back and hips up). After warming up on the horse we had to trot round in a jumping position, you will have to put your stirrups up (as previously mentioned) this makes sure that the weight is in your stirrups and your not hanging on with your knees / hands. Unless you are in a correct jumping position you will find it really hard to keep your balance. Only when we were good enough at that were we allowed over a fence.

yeaahh , I know my stirrups were long, I'm better at remembering to do that now -i think these photos are a couple of months old, havent got any more recent- .
So-
*shorter stirrups
*less tense upper body
*fold from waist. Got it. Anything else or about her condition? Thanks for your tips, its always nice getting a second opinons :D xx
