Feeling brave and intrigued as to what you think- please CC him.

Had Z almost a year now and we're finally starting to get some where :D

He was a skinny, hair grease ball a year ago you had been pretty much out of work for a year. He has only just stopped eating like his life depends on it and is now maintaining a constant weight. He is working hard and is excelling himself both on the flat and over fences.

I like the wave of attention 'prick your bl**dy ears' actions in the shadow! classic!

I would say on a whole he looks in FABULOUS condition. I would like to see a little more in the way of topline over his neck in particular if I was being fussy!

Massive conformational flaw in his coat by his flank.. ;) seems he is waving at me! Not sure on age but he looks high at the wither, perhaps he just possesses the prominent type but this would look less obvious with the added muscle too.

OK, you asketh, you shall't receive. Don't know his age/breeding/job, but he looks like an Irish half-bred to me, AKA an ISH. As so very often happens, seems like he got his Mummy's legs and Daddy's neck and withers. So, quite a lot of bone and a low set, skinny neck with very prominent withers. Good depth through the chest and a decent length of hip. Hard conformation to work well with dressage due to the low front, and perhaps a dip in front of the wither?

Haha yes it is a hand print ('get over there so i can see you!') he's very dusty and needs a bath. And yes my shadow made me laugh too I look like an Aladdin style lamp!

Z is an 8 year old Belgium Warmblood with LOADS of bone, he's a work in progress as almost all if his previous 'schooling' needed undoing and starting over. He's 8 going on 5 really and he has a better neck than the above photo shows and he does have a high wither but the topline is improving. His trot is pretty decent now, and when he came he couldn't canter or walk down hill in the woods because his back was so incredibly weak- physio and correct work now means we have canter without any bucks and he is starting to use his back more too so starting to make a nicer shape.

I originally hoped to SJ him but I'm getting so much out pleasure out of seeing his flatwork improve we are doing dressage on Sunday, so maybe some eventing next year...?

This is him 6 months ago i cringe when i see this picture as at the time i thought he'd really improved in the short time i'd had him. Hopefully this time next time I'll post another with more improvement, thank you for your comments

March 2011- i don't remember him being SO GINGER!

Hes lovely and a much better shape now. Lovely condition and very sweet face. No other cc as long as he does the job and is healthy and happy who cares? ;-)
