CC- Turkey Legs!

Trumped your Asda turkey legs, seen them for £1.65 in Tesco :D
A serious question for the raw experts, I give my girls chicken wings,drumsticks etc a couple of times a week. The 2 older ones eat them quite slowly but Evie inhales them. She is the same with all food, I put a large stone in her bowl when she has meal to try and slow her down. When I used to feed tripe she never got the hang of using her paw to hold it and tearing, like all my others have, yet again she used to swallow nearly whole, and then sometimes regurgitate.:(
I would love to try her with a turkey leg, but am concerned she would try and swallow that whole too, any tips to slow her down, or am I worrying unnecessarily.

Tesco sell theirs by weight, and I tend to get the larger ones so they go up to £1.80/£1.90 whereas Asda's are on the larger side, they are all pretty much the same weight and all priced the same at £1.71.
Or maybe your supermarkets are cheaper :p

Bella is a bit of a horse too but the bigger legs are so chunky, she hasn't a mission of swallowing too much.
 
You could try tying a piece of string to the end first time and if she does try swallowing it whole you can at least get it back in a hurry, I would have to use string with Blue if I wanted to keep my fingers on the end of my hand.

I do have to watch Digger with small chicken wings, I have to make sure they are unfolded or he will snort them! But with the Asda big Turkey legs he is a bit more sensible and the bone in them is much harder than a chicken so they have to chew a bit more!

Typical Sainsbury's !!!!

Popple had Asda turkey for supper tonight, and would like to say thank you for the suggestion. She enjoyed it very much :D :D
 
LOL! She didn't have the legs (although she very happily would have done ;)) She had some of their diced turkey breast that was on offer, and enjoyed it greatly :D
