Is there a CCTV system that one can use at the field, that can be monitored from home 3.5 miles away?

Oh, and to make it more difficult, there is no mains power at the field.....

Yes, but I think the lack of mains electrics could put a huge price tag on a system as you would need a powerful solar capture and storage. Will pm you details as OH who has all the info is soundly asleep! We looked in to it to monitor the activity of a nesting barn owl so looked at infra-red plus signal to a computer. Do you have a budget?

Yes , the council use things like this to catch fly tippers, unfortunately my boss isn't in or i would have been able to pick his brains about it.

Yes there is. You can rent or buy self contained battery powered units with six or more cameras which, when triggered by movement / heat, transmit 10 second burst of video to the monitoring station - they can be set up so that you can view the images on your pc or phone. My company markets them to construction companies, garden centres for protecting seasonal high value stock, etc, all sorts of applications

Just to tack on does anyone know of an alarm system as well that works with no mains electric?
