The Dog Whisperer... Love him or loathe him?

Personally I love him and I think he is amazing with dogs - and the people. I have tried some of his techniques (the simple ones) on my dogs and they respond amazingly quickly. My younger dog learnt to walk to heel, without a lead in about 10seconds. She also absolutely loves it.

So much of it is common sense but I think with dogs (even more than with horses) it is easy to lose perspective and start thinking of them as children. Anyway, I love that show it is definitely one of my current favourites.
 

Love him - yes, much of it is common sense but a great programme and he certainly achieves good results - rather dishy too don't you think?

dont watch that one much although it is good have you seen dog borstal?? i think that one is good and i do like mick he is great with the dogs and very strict with the dappy owners hehe
 
Love him.
Know a lot of people dont agree with him and his methods but he gets the results and isnt IMO cruell to the dogs.Have seen much worse "pro" handlers :s
 
I like him and some of his methods...I have his books and have seen near enough every programme

I have been on loads of dog chat forums that slate him for his methods stating that he uses fear tactics to overcome a problem..instead of reward based training....I think maybe some need to look at the bigger picture in regard to this, I think he has dealt with/seen some horrendous behaviours...due to human fecklessness

and his methods seem to work without any horrendous distress or bad aftermath....and after all he is dealing with some pretty idiotic owners

Think thats why I like him- he seems to acess the dog and owners then think about what will best for that animal with those owners instead of "this is how it's done" attitude.
Ah well, many love him many hate him.
Sure when he looks at the amount of happy dogs he has helped he doesnt care!
 
I think he is amazing, i love watching his programs!!

It always amazes me how the dogs are dragging their owners around and within a few minutes of Ceasar being there and they are trotting along happily with him. Methinks he needs to come over to England and have a look at my mad boxer!! LOL!!
