Bless my two have not had a walk yet. Trees and branches down all around us - just not safe at all to walk out. 6yo terrier doesn't even want to go out - quick wee in the garden and back to sleep. 2yo keeps hopefully going to door :). Even the garden is not safe with a large tree looking dodgy in next doors garden but overhanging our fence! My daughter has lost roof tiles and ridges this morning which smashed into her garden so we are all staying put a little longer.

I had to get some shopping for my mum and when I was in Sainsburys there were 3 power outages. Each time the tills rebooted it went off again! Took 2 hours to do 20 minutes shopping. By the time I came out at 11am I could not wheel the trolly across the carpark without a fight with the wind! 2 trees down on the journey home - I just missed the window of decent weather! Theyll survive though I am sure.

Don’t envy you that! I haven’t left the farm today. I am just about to drive my daughters friend to the local pub but it’s 5 minutes away.
Such a lot of damage and trees down on TV. I feel incredibly lucky to have got away with no damage here.

Mine had a quick 10 minute walk in the open around the fields this morning before it got really bad, and just had an hour's walk now it's quietened again a bit - I was pleasantly surprised by how laid back he was all day!

He is so cute!

OH took Ivy this morning before things got too bad, she snoozed most of the day (as usual) and then in the afternoon, despite my 'indoor enrichment' efforts was quite determined she wanted to go for a walk. Interestingly the weather out in the back garden was unacceptable to her, but out the front (i.e. to go for a walk) was fine! We held off until things mostly calmed down, although towards the end the wind really picked up again suddenly as it started raining. We all got swept along and soaked in just a couple of minutes but thankfully were nearly home!
