Also I think I read somewhere that Brad Pitt loved riding so much when he learnt to do it for the film Troy, his wife bought him the horse he learned to ride on.

Thats definately the case with Viggio Mortensen (sp??) aka Aragorn from Lord of the Rings. He bought the horse after filming has finished and I beleive they've lived happily ever after since
