For the 3rd time this year, my cellulitis prone TB has got another bout of this hateful problem. Its being managed with bute and anti-b's, however a good 'old-school' equine friend, whos opinions I take on board has said to remove all molasses and sugar beet products from him, as this would aggravate the situation. Has anyone else heard of this. His current feed is ad-lib haylage, balancer, sugarbeet and Bluegrass traditional chaff. TIA

I'd have to agree with your friend. You could swap the sugarbeet for speedibeet, which is 95% sugar free. I'm pretty sure readigrass is unmolassed, so might be worth feeding that instead of the Bluegrass traditional chaff. Hi-Fi light is also unmolassed. I feed TopSpec Top Chop Lite.

It looks like he's always going to be prone to it as he has a very old bad scar on that leg, but the least times it flares up would be better for him. Thanks again x
