Has anyone had a session? There's one fairly local to me in a couple of weeks, and I'm wondering if it's worth doing.

Experiences would be appreciated please :)

Thanks

Also interested to hear this. He is up here in August and I was tempted to do it but since I am at my unfittest, squintest and most lacking in confidence than I've been in my entire life I'm thinking I may as well leave it this time!

I have heard good things and my horse physio just did some CPD with him.

For you or the horse?

He is ever so lovely and very good at what he does.

The horse gait analysis thing is great and I can see it being useful for performance horses in terms of getting a baseline etc. in case of changes in the future so you can pinpoint subtle changes.

The rider stuff is good but not quite as unique. The thing that is good about it is that he sets up his screen where you can stop and watch a bit while still mounted, and then do a bit more. However you should be able to get to the same place with most good trainers with a good eye for biomechanics and position type stuff, especially if they are prepared to video you (or someone else is) so you can see as well as feel.

No reason not to give it a go though.

I didn't do the session but one was held at my trainers so I went down to watch.
As above the gait analysis was useful and so was being able to see it while on the horse so that you could make changes and then see the difference. The guy was good with what he said and it was often very slight things that could be picked up, changed and make a difference.
He had a physio working along side him that day as well so you could have an assessment if something was shown up which I though was a good idea, not sure if that is the norm thou.
I found it very interesting and I'm tempted to give it a go if she has him back again.

Just got back from the session, really enjoyed it, and felt he made a big difference.

We didn't do any gait analysis, but he put the jacket on me and the markers on the horse. The videos were fascinating; although I'm very straight through my body, I tilt my pelvis out quite a lot, and working on tilting it underneath me instead made a big difference as I could then wrap my leg around G and he responded very well to that.

I thought it was a fantastic session and I'd definitely go back for more. I'm a very analytical person so that type of instruction really suits me.

Oh, and the surface in the indoor arena at Parwood is amazing, really springy! I didn't test it out with my body you'll be pleased to know though

I have done it and agree with the post above. It's an interesting exercise, if you have the cash to spend but not amazing
