Central calcus thrush

I had 2 lots of fetlock X-rays last year, both very quick and not needing sedation. No nerve blocks. Came out at just shy of 400 each time so I don’t think yours sounds too bad?

Unfortunately that's where vet bills are now, I would expect that you will get an itemised bill so it should be clear what you've been charged for. My retired horse got a kick about the same time as Lari. It didn't heal and he's had to go in for an ultrasound scan - he has a sequestrum. The bill for cleaning the wound, bandaging, antibiotics (9 weeks now), scans and sedation each time will be close on £2K 😢 .

Hope you get him moved home without incident today and at least get to enjoy time together with him.

I’ve just paid circa £1k for bilateral hock Xrays & nerve blocks & another £1k for bilateral front foot X-rays & nerve blocks (both done at same time). No sedation involved. All done onsite at vets so no call-out.

I think your bill sounds very reasonable if it includes a callout charge, sorry.

But yes query it if they’ve taken & charged for considerably more xray views than you consented to.
