Hi.
Can anybody shed any light about this dealer? I am in the process of looking at 3.5t boxes. Have seen a few private sales, the one i had checked by a mechanic (which looked very well cared for) report came back as dangerous, he also included pictures. This has put e off a private sale and therefore am thinking about a dealer. Central England have been helpful, telling me about the safety checks, MOT , and service it would undergo prior to purchase. If anyone has any information, i would be grateful, my budget is not big, but I would rather buy from a dealer where I may have comeback if there are problems.
thankyou

Yes I've used them before. If you search on the forum you'll see a few reviews.
Buying through them- very good, we had some issues with the very old box we bought from him, Luke was very good about sorting them for us, sent a mechanic etc and fixed them no problem at all.
We sold the same box a while later through Luke, he did get it sold for us but that process took a lot longer and we had to wait ages for our money...had to keep chasing etc. But on the whole I'd say they are good.

One thing to be aware of, they often get a box in and sell it...then it goes through his workshop for checks etc.. prior to you collecting it. So in our case we bought it, had to wait a few weeks for the guys to look at it and fix anything major...before we could get it.

In my experience most garages work like that, clean it and list it and then service it before it’s sold.

No experience of them but they’re fairly local so I keep an eye on what they have.

I live in Worcestershire, and know a few people who have bought from them. I think as others have said, buying older used horseboxes is always going to involve some risk, but Central Engalnd Horseboxes have been going for a long time, I don't recall any horror stories. There is definitely less risk buying from a dealer as the protection provided by the law is so much stronger.
