Hi all

I'm running my boy in the BE90 on sat morning at 8.36 so will need to leave at 5am to allow enough time to walk the course :o

Anyway I know there is a ground check tomorrow but just wondered what the weather is like up that way just now - thought some fellow HHO'ers might know!

Its absolutely chucking it down here and we are in the borders so not a huge distance south :(

Anti rain dance isn't working!!

I'm in Edinburgh and it's been pouring down for ages!! From their FB page they were putting arena's etc up today, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was cancelled. Meant to be going to watch my old horse compete in the BE90! But getting to ride him tomorrow regardless :) Everything crossed that it still runs!

Perth Races were running today which is literally right next door to the event the going on Racing Post is described as "Soft Heavy in Places" which does not sound that promising :(

I am meant to be stabling Saturday night and competing Sunday. I really do not want to travel up to find day 2 does not run so any updates if you go AF would be much appreciated (will PM you my number!)

Been working on the course all day ground is fine and drying all day. Race course is wetter than the parkland where the event is run.

Official inspection tomorrow morning updates will be posted approx 12 noon so please keep checking the website.

Im working in west fife just now and its been drier there than it has been in east lothian and more windy so that might be helping to dry the ground out ?
Q

Section A no 9 :) early time at the month but have asked if there is any chance it could be moved to a little later. Feel v guilty about asking but really could do with a slightly later time :D.
Tbh. Would be happy with my time as long as the ground is good enough to run :)

Feel so sorry for organisers who try so hard to prepare for events that then get cancelled. X

lol be glad of early time, means less have been on course before you so in better condition if it is soft :-)

Weather is to be sunny and dry tomorrow and Sat so might just work Old course Builder :-)

I was supposed to be doing the training day on Monday but had to cancel due to work. When I emailed the organiser she said the ground was in fantastic condition so fingers crossed it should run!

was up plotting tradestands last night and ground perfect and would probably take a bit more rain but hopefully we won't get any!

I was dubious as had seen the racing pictures and was pretty gobsmacked when I saw the ground which is ideal eventing ground and today's susnshine will only help.

Score collecting tomorrow and Sunday so who want's a row of tens in their dressage!!! LOL

getting excited :D

would love some 10's grace as I'm only likely to get 5-7's I'll not be greeding. If you are writing in section A, if you could just look out for number 9 and then add 1 mark on everything the judge says :D :D should do just nicely! :p

I was at Perth races on Wednesday and I've never seen horses coming back so dirty after a race - even early season P2Ps! There was standing water on the grass in the saddling enclosure, it was pretty grim...

However, in Glasgow at least now it's glorious sunshine, it hasn't rained much since Wednesday and from the sounds of things the event course has faired better than the racecourse so fingers crossed for you all for a lovely run on safe ground - good luck!
