Chafer grubs

the field is being destroyed by Rooks getting chafer grubs out of the soil any idea how to get rid of them and send the rooks packing dont mind them usually but they are making a horrendous mess of my usually mud free fields

Bath racecourse had issues with them so don't know if googling Bath racecourse and Chafer grubs might bring up some help.

I had a lot in my lawn last year which was a killing the grass issue more than a birds issue but that's a much smaller issue.
Main recommendations being nematodes and/or covering in black plastic sheeting over night and the grubs will come up and you can remove them.

Ah is that what they are after! The fields at my work have been thick with crows or rooks. I had wondered why

Our badgers have discovered them, and must find them yummy, they dig most enthusiastically - happy to swop for your birds if you like!
