My horse has been on Alfa A Oil for years and I've never had a problem with it. Recently i changed his feed slightly, I moved him from mix onto Topspec cubes & balancer which he looks fab on. But now he is leaving a fair bit of chaff in the bottom of his bucket. To be fair the past 2 bags I've bought have been slightly finer chopped/ dusty looking. I'm not sure if he's bored of the alfa a or if its the change in texture/ look (finer etc).
He is also has a small scoop of sugarbeet which moistens his feed. But if the finer bits of chaff are mixed in with the sugarbeet at the bottom of his bucket then he won't touch it.
Any suggestions anyone? Should i change his chaff? If yes then what to?
Oh he has his teeth done a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks. Cookies if you get through all that
